  • The Game is being translated in seven different languages that the player can choose from.
  • There are over 800,000 Japanese Characters in the game, which translates to 1.4 million words in English.
  • The ability to ride Pokemon other than Gogoat is confirmed, with the reveal of a trainer riding a Rhydon.
  • There is a new canine Fire-type Pokemon.
  • A New system for trading and battling called the Player Search System, or PSS, is being implemented.
  • The PSS won’t just track your friends; anyone you have interacted with will become an acquaintance. Interact with them enough, and the game will do the hard work of asking them to be friends for you.

  • Different camera angles for battling.
  • Noivern is used to demonstrate the 3D modeling process.
  • Pokemon-Amie interactions will have benefits in battle.
  • Horde Battles: Pokemon now has 5 on 1 battling! Multiple different species of Pokemon can be in one horde battle.
  • Sky Battles have been announced. Only some Flying type Pokemon, and some exceptions like those who know levitate can participate in them.
  • Talonflame, a new Fire/Flying type Pokemon, has been revealed.
  • Backwards compatibility is being worked on.
  • Confirmed to only have one save file, per usual.
  • DLC may be a possibility, still not sure if/how it will be implemented.
  • Fairy typing has been introduced to help balance dragon types without nerfing their power.
  • France was picked because of its focus on beauty.
  • EV’s and IV’s will be much more visible and easier to understand in X and Y.
  • Depending on species, Pokemon you ride will be able to go across different areas, such as Rhyhorn being used to go through rough terrain.

NYYYYAAAAHAHAHAHa! :D XD :P O_____________________O in case you can’t tell, i’m reaaaaaaallly flippin excited right now! i surprisingly love the Fairy type, mostly because, upon seeing it reapplied to other Pokemon, it makes sense! Clefairy’s definitely gonna be a Fairy type, in fact, i wonder why they advertised Jigglypuff instead? :/

  2. SergeantStaraptor says:

Just, really now, Gamefreak did an amazing job and I just really wanna say I have never loved a game as much as this one, I cannot wait to play it. NFSDLCMERHVMTRHB HRTMICVTRCVRVT OMG GAMEFREAK I LOVE YOU SO MUCH RIGHT NOOOOOOWWWWWWW

  3. krishna moorthy says:

ONLY ONE SAVE FILE!!!does that mean i have to buy the game twice so that two people can play it???

    • CoolTom1337 says:

I feel you man, seems as though they don’t have a clue what the Nuzlocke Challenge is :S

    • Midnafan says:

believe it or not, a lot of things in Pokemon just don’t change, even after 17 years. :P

      • CoolTom1337 says:

It’s like they don’t give a flying Fennekin about the people who like to replay the game over and over again :S

        • CoolTom1337 says:

and not wanting to delete the file that they consider their main game

        • Midnafan says:

i know what you mean, and for games that have such high replay value, they also have high replay deterrents. if i start any of my gen 5 games over, i’ll loose all my hard work, specially trained teams, and event Pokemon. not to mention loosing ALL of my data for the Global Link if i tried. :'(
