Mewtwo Smash Bros

Yes! You are seeing this right! Mewtwo will be returning to the fray in Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS! Mewtwo was announced at the very end of the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U 50-Fact Extravaganza as a playable fighter, however there is a slight catch involved (no pun intended)…

Unfortunately Mewtwo will not be available from the start once Super Smash Bros. for Wii U launches in a couple of months time. Instead Mewtwo will be released as a downloadable player during Spring 2015.

In order to get Mewtwo, you simply need to buy both Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS and presumably register them both with Club Nintendo. You will then get a download code Mewtwo once he is released next year.

Mewtwo made his debut in Super Smash Bros. Melee, then was left out in Brawl supposedly replaced by Lucario. Now the Genetic Pokémon Returns to smash along side Pikachu, Charizard, Jigglypuff, Lucario and newcomer Greninja!

How Mewtwo will play out in Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS remains a mystery. Will he retain his Melee moveset or get a completely new one? I think one thing for certain though is that his Final Smash will most likely be one of his Mega evolutions, I’m leaning more towards Mega Mewtwo Y on this one.

Anyway, what do you think of Mewtwo’s return to Smash Bros.? Did you like him in Melee? Let us know in the comments below!

I am so sad. I got my code for the ORAS demo, but my residence hall wifi is too complicated for my 3DS to access, so I can’t get to the eshop to put in the code! :( they don’t expire over time do they?

  3. what the heck says:

lucario didn’t replace mewtwo, there was just not enough time. He was in the beta version of brawl
