As I was looking through Japan’s Pokemon Youtube channel for some new PokeNews, I came across this gem, The Slowpoke Song. Its pretty much a strange but relaxing reggae song about Slowpoke: it’s weird in a good way, lets just go with that. People say generation one does not get enough love. This is a gen one Pokemon, from 1996 (Japan) with its own song in 2014. That is some gen one love right there.
It’s summer time here in America and many people are going on vacation. A very popular and traditional travel destination is a certain place with lots of sand, heat and water. It’s time to hit the beach! The ocean has always been a large role in Pokémon games. According to Bulbapedia, “As of Generation VI, there are 124 Water-type Pokémon or 16.8% of all Pokémon (counting forms and Mega Evolutions that change typing as different Pokémon), making it the most common of the eighteen types.” Today I have some unique themes concerning the beach, hit the jump to enjoy!
One of the most unforgettable things about Pokémon are the battles. Not just any ordinary battles; battles with the all-mighty Pokémon of Legend! Unlike regular Pokémon encountered in the wild, there is only one of each Legendary Pokémon: one chance is all you get or they’re gone for good (most of the time). What’s also special about this is the unique music that plays for each one. It’s not as dramatic as it seems but Game Freak sure knows up to amp up an important battle with the soundtrack! Hit the jump for 10 notable Legendary Themes from all of the regions of Pokémon!
Hello Pokefans, I’d like to try to bring this segment back and post it as often as I can! We don’t have very much information on Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire so far but we can always work with what we have so far. In order to continue the Hoenn-hype, lets listen to some wonderful covers of our favorite Hoenn soundtracks by this week’s special youtuber: insaneintherainmusic. This music youtuber I came across today is amazing and this kid is a big Nintendo fan. He has almost 200 videos and almost 6000 subscribers, that’s awesome! Click the link to a Hoenn music playlist I put together out of all of insaneintherainmusic’s Ruby/Sapphire soundtrack covers! (Happy late Wednesday)
Hey guys, sorry for running Music Wednesday a little late as I was out of town, but as you can see by the title and the picture, you probably see where this is going. Hit the jump to see this horrible, but strangly addicting song!
What’s up guy’s, today is Music Wednesday, and you know what that means! What better way to start you’re Wednesday than to hear a little Pokemon Jingle? Jump inside to hear one of the most awesome, addictive songs in the Pokemon Series. It’s very original and very epic!
For this week’s Music Wednesday we’ve got a remix of the Black and White Bicycle theme by YouTube user Sonicwave1000. It is a wonderful remix of the Bicycle theme from the Black and White versions that I think that you will all enjoy. The video also has a pretty cool fan-created piece of artwork that I thought suited this remixed theme. Head inside for a video embed of this sweet theme along with a few of my own thoughts.
For this week’s Music Wednesday we’ve got a remix done by Jason Paige, the artist for the original Pokemon opening theme. This remix, however, isn’t exactly what you’d expect from a remix. This kind of remix sounds almost exactly the same as the original, with a few subtle differences… the lyrics are all written to show support for Ron Paul, a US Presidential Candidate. Head inside for the video, but keep in mind that Pokemon Dungeon does not affiliate or endorse any particular candidate nor does this video reflect the views of my own.
That’s right, Music Wednesday is making a comeback! Now that school is over for me, I’ll be able to pour more time into the site. We’ve got some good things planned for the next few weeks, so just you wait!
Now, this week’s Music Wednesday is the Trainer Battle music from the Johto region by FamilyJules7X. I’ve featured some of their stuff in the past for obvious reasons: these guys are just fantastic musicians and put a great spin on great music. Head inside the jump for the song.
Here, after a few weeks of not having one, is another Music Wednesday feature for you all to enjoy. The title of this song is Pokémon Red Version ‘Shades of Red’. It is a very well done remix of the Pallet Town song from the original Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow version This song comes from YouTube channel OverClocked Remix. OverClocked Remix is pretty well known in the community for its various remixes from many video game franchises. Some of their most well known stuff is from the Zelda franchise, but most all of their music is just fantastic. Head inside for the video embed to listen to song.
