Pokémon Diamond and Pearl are the first Pokémon releases for the Nintendo DS as well as the first release for the Fourth Generation of Pokémon games. In this game, the legendary iconic Pokémon is Dialga for Diamond and Palkia for Pearl. This game is set in the Sinnoh region, a new region designed for the games. As like all of the main handheld games, the ultimate purpose of Diamond and Pearl is to conquer every gym, defeat the Elite Four, and catch every Pokémon that there is, ultimately becoming a Pokémon Master.

This game introduced some new features that take advantage of the new touch screen introduced for the DS. New additions include touch menus, and touch move selections. Like Emerald version, you can participate in contests and the gyms. There are many things that you can do in Diamond and Pearl, so get out there and play one of them to find out what else you can do!
